The Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CaPRI) is a think tank which promotes evidence-based policy dialogue within Caribbean societies. In an effort to create better policies, CaPRI informs debate through the production of evidence-based research of the highest quality. The ultimate goal and mission of the Institute is to change the various national policy-making environments – public and private sector.
CaPRI is currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to assist the Communications Officer in the establishment of CAPRI’s Communication and Advocacy Strategies.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Drafting and disseminating correspondence to CAPRI’s network, including Sponsors, Researchers and Policy-makers
Implementing social media strategies, including conducting research to develop appropriate content
Assisting in the creation of engaging social media content (image and video)
Maintaining CAPRI’s contact databases
Drafting and disseminating newsletters to CAPRI’s network
Following up with various partners of CAPRI (phone calls, emails)
Assisting in the preparation and execution of CAPRI’s events
Creating blog posts/articles about CAPRI’s current and past research projects and research findings
Developing and uploading content for CAPRI’s website
Liaising with suppliers to ensure deadlines are met
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field
University-level English Language courses are a plus
Excellent oral and written (including electronic) communication skills
Basic knowledge of WordPress
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Ability to work flexible hours
Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment while meeting deadlines
Salary range: 1.1-1.4 million
